“In 2022, visitor spending and tourism-related employment grew to $2.3 billion and 17,306 jobs, respectively. Visitor spending in the Catskills increased by 19% to reach 146% of 2019 levels, highlighting visitors’ continued preference for outdoor and rural vacation destinations.
Relative to 2019, traveler spending was up most in Sullivan County at 154% of 2019 levels.”

Bethel Woods
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is located 15 minutes from Horseshoe Lake in Bethel, NY, at the National Register Historic Site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Their 800+ acre campus includes a Pavilion Stage amphitheater with a seating capacity of 16,000, an intimate 422-seat indoor Event Gallery, the award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods, and a Conservatory for creative learning programs. Bethel Woods is a true cultural mecca bringing hundreds of thousands of visitors to the area each year.
Livingston Manor
For the last ten years the small town of Livingston Manor has been at the center of a resurgence for the region, with new hotels, breweries, restaurants and stores attracting visitors from New York City and beyond. It has also seen a huge boost in its housing market with new homeowners buying property in record numbers.
The Catskill State Park
The Catskill State Park is a 700,000 acre mountain range featuring a multitude of hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes and rivers for fishing and recreation, rock climbing areas and small towns to explore. The park is an area of natural beauty that has brought visitors to the area for decades.
The Scenic Upper Delaware
The Upper Delaware with it’s blossoming towns of Callicoon, Narrowsburg and latterly Barryville is also a major local attraction, with activities on the river and hospitality venues on the rise.
